Jon

I was born in Norfolk to a Royal Air Force family and was lucky enough to live all over the UK (although mostly in Norfolk) until I left school

I followed in my father’s footsteps and joined the RAF as a pilot. After training I flew Tornado Fighter Bombers in Germany and then became an Instructor on the Hawk.

I then worked in the Middle East for several years as a Civilian Hawk Military Instructor Pilot before returning to work in the UK Defence Industry in the same role - only recently retiring! I am still a Reservist Instructor Pilot with the RAF flying with 8 Air Experience Flight (AEF) & the University of Birmingham Air Squadron flying Tutors from DCAE Cosford.

I met Charlotte while in the RAF and we married whilst in the Middle East.

While I have many hobbies, from Computing to  Landrovers, most of my spare time is spent maintain my small Estate and being a ‘good horse husband’.
